Andaman’s best fishing charter has ample opportunities for enjoyment
If you are dreaming of catching a superb GT fish, then just dreaming will not be of any help to you. You need to know the terms and techniques of catching and handling the same. So, let’s discuss
How do you catch weighty sea-fishes like GT?
Every kind of fish has its apparatus, and similar is the case with the GT category of fish. The apparatus you use should have the necessary strength to reciprocate the pull of the GTs bite. Being one of the Best Game Fishing Charter it would be our suggestion that you should use the Shimoga model of the baits and reels. The specialty of the reels should be pulling type. When you are using the pulling type you would be able to combat the mouth-pulling strength of the GTs. However, for the lighter version of the GTs such as the Blue Fin Trevally, we would suggest that you better use the popping and jigging type of the baits because they are made to handle the lower pressure.
As far as the lures are concerned using organic lures would be a pretty costly affair, so at Island Fishing, we suggest that using the artificial lures would be a great option as you can use them more than once. There are various kinds of lures available in the market which include pulling lures and popping lures. For GT we suggest the pulling lures available in the market.

What do you do after you catch the fish?
This portion of the article is optional. Sports Fishing in Andaman does not support and neither does it stand as an ally to any policy that claims to harm the fish in one way or the other for amusement purposes
When you have caught the fish the first suggestion from our side would be that leave immediately. However, just in case the beast inside you doesn’t want to crave down then you can do the following.
Kill it with a single blow
Make sure you kill the fish with a single blow and do not let it palpitate. Make sure you ooze out the blood in one go and put the corpse in an ice casket.
Clean and gut the fish promptly and thoroughly
Gutting the fish involves cleaning out its body cavity and removing blood, bacteria, and other material in the digestive tract. The gills should be cut. Removing the internal organs and gills slows down spoilage and may also prevent parasites from moving into the fish’s flesh.
Chill the fish with plenty of ice
Cooling fish is critical. Spoilage begins as soon as the fish dies. All fish, gutted or not, spoil rapidly if they aren’t chilled right away. Never let the fish lie in the sun. Keep them shadowed and wet if ice is unavailable.
